Windfield Alloy Inc. provides a security statement with a promise to protect your data and adhere to industry standards.
Data security is very important to us at Windfield Alloy Inc. Many of our clients demand the highest levels of data security and have reviewed our system to be sure it meets their standards. In each case, we have surpassed expectations and received high praise from elite companies.
We collect all the hard-drives from the computers we receive, the drives are logged into our system by serial number, the hard-drives are then run through a degaussing machine which effectively wipes the drive clean, the drive is then verified clean by our IT technicians. At the customer’s request, the drive can also be sent through our shredder and shredded, all components of the hard drives are mechanically separated during the shredding process and sorted by commodity, (i.e. metals and plastics).
Physical access to our offices are security controlled which include locks that are opened by keys and by using security cards. Registers of visitors are kept and sign-in sheets are used. And the facility has 24 hour video surveillance.
Information systems containing sensitive information and communications equipment are placed in secure areas and protected by additional physical security measures that permit access only to the employees who need access, operational processes, environmental controls and fire detection and suppression systems to safeguard against accidental loss, theft or unauthorized removal, misuse, damage or unauthorized access.
It is the customer’s responsibility to understand that Windfield Alloy Inc. does everything within our power to insure the security of personal/professional data stored on the drives that are in their possession but that there are risks associated with personal/professional data stored on information systems.
In the unlikely event of a data security breach the affected customers will immediately be notify and the proper authorities will be contacted. Customers will be informed as to what measures have been taken to protect them.
We will investigate all concerns and complaints and will address them expeditiously. An acknowledgement of the identity of the employee addressing the complaint and the approximate length of time that will be taken to review the complaint will be provided no later than five (5) business days from the date the complaint is received and understood.
